Rogue/Bard Illusion Masks

Hey folks -

I recently got interested in getting a couple of illusion masks for the heck
of it. I've got some information together for anyone else that wants to do
get illusion masks for their bard or rogue main/alt.

Flayed Barbarian Hide Mask (Illusion: Barbarian)
Raid Encounter

Mask of Deception (Illusion: Dark Elf)
Easiest to get. Can be done solo at 50+ most likely.

Mask of Obtenebration (Illusion: Erudite)
A well-balanced 50+ (55+?) in Charisis (aka Howling Stones).

Besmirched Mask of Conception (Illusion: Dwarf)

Mask of Tinkering (Illusion: Gnome)

Burnoose of the Halfbreed (Illusion: Half Elf)
Kill a poacher. Helps your faction in JPF, I'd guess.

Dessicated Halfling Mask (Illusion: Halfling)
Dropped in Chardok. And yes, even enchanters can wear this one.

Guise of the Coercer (Illusion: High Elf)

This one requires a rogue, because it basically involves doing the rogue
epic. At the very least, a rogue is required to pickpocket two pieces from
two rogue trainers (one in Neriak, one in Kaladim). While killing the rogue
trainers may be possible, they will not drop the items that need to be
pickpocketed. The items are tradeable.

It's a pretty simple epic, with one two-group fight against Renux Herkanor
and a raid in Kithicor Forest. I've killed Renux with a 65 pally tanking, a
65 rogue, and myself on 56.

However, you do have to kill Stanos Herkanor to loot his head. This also
requires a full raid.

Circlet of Disguise (Illusion: Human)
Raid event that requires killing a big melted jellybean.

Beat up a level 50 Iksar wizzy ghost.

Taken off of a level 55 assasin in Ssraeshza Temple.

Crown of Deceipt (Illusion: Wood Elf)
Quested item. Anyone can do this one. It's pretty amusing seeing wood elf
beastlords and monks running around Norrath. :)

Ah, I actually composed the illusion mask list a couple of months ago for my
guild's forums. Figured I'd copy it here. Thanks for the link to the ogre
mask. :)

After your posting, i go to www.eqatlas.de and get a map of Lower/Upper Guk.

I went to Upper Guk with my Level 51 Bard and zone in.
All Frogs are Doubiose so i can go to Lower Guk without been attacked.

I zone in the Liveing-Side of LG and went from there to the Death-Side.
There i meet a Level 65 Monk.

I go in the Room, but no Mob was up.
After 2 Minutes, one Mob spawned and while i am fighting the assisin
(Drop-Mob) spawned.

The Assassin was down very fast (because of the 65 Monk).

The one Mob was light Blue, the Assasin was Blue to Level 51.
I think u can make it at 51 solo, when u know what u do and when u know how
to use your Mezz/Charm-Song.

Now i have the Mask after 2 Minutes...;-)

With my Paladin I solo'ed the Assassin lots of times from 45 (not very
twinked) for rogues while I was in Lower Guk leveling. The trick is
staggering the spawns, if you are 1 on 1 with the Assassin then it shouldn't
be a problem :)
