Over what? Did something happen? Or just heckle in general?

Cats in Hats is currently on the Drinal server.  Some of them aren't too bad
to talk to, though they play EQ entirely too much.  6 hours of raid time, 5
days a week.  And members are expected to work on AA points outside of
raiding time. :)  Go check out their joining requirements.  Insane - who has
time for a 2nd job that doesn't pay?

Hehe insane for sure, rangers one of their most needed classes? :)

The ranger requirement 6 seemed odd:

6. Must have EQ and AM3.

I would of thought that most rangers would be meleeing at this point, glad
to know we are only useful for 2 minutes an hour >_>  They want you to have
250aa but only need EQ and AM3...so sinking points into inate charisma,
finishing blow and riposte would be fine.  :/

There are lots of fights where AE spells/rampage make melee less than
appealing.  If I could still put out 90% of my DPS from range, you can bet
I'd be standing at range and doing that for the whole fight on some of those
rather than being the monk that wasn't worth healing in melee range (and I
run a pocket cleric on raids, *still* often not worth healing on fights like
that).  =)

But since I top out at about 15 dps from range...

Yep, but it doesnt require ambidexterity,  physical enhancement, combat
fury, fury of the ages, punishing blade, inate camo, etc.  They make it
sound like an ranger with 45aa's will be putting out max bow damage, and
also does not require melee aa's with which rangers do even greater damage.

Well thats simple

A lot of people have left EQ.. high levels of recruits are no longer out
there.  People most affected by member loss will accept anybody they can,
pretty much.

Agreed, but check out the AA's required for other classes (for wizards, all
crit AA's for example).

Hmm, they don't need berserkers, mages, monks, necros, paladins or
warriors.
