I've been completely unable to get past the patcher since yesterday. Ok
there is a big honking patch out but in addition to that I haven't been
able to connect to http://eqlive.station.sony.com/ either. Funny thing is
that the regular sony station site http://www.station.sony.com/en/ comes
right up. Anyone else having problems?

I've had no problem connecting to the EQ Live site. Have connected the
past several days.

Thanks Wulf, I just got an e-mail from my ISP telling me that they have
upgraded my service so I can "experience" the next tier up on their cable
service and simultaneously 3 day's worth of e-mail appeared. and now I can
connect to EQ. I'd be willing to bet that this mysterious "upgrade" was
the source of my problems.

I see your follow up where you mention ISP problems.
But I had a problem this evening with connecting, just loaded and
patched, first time playing.
Couldn't get the browser to go active so I could create a station
account. I had to kill the Everquest program by stopping the task in
Win98se, then create and setup my station account. Exit from that,
then restart everquest, then log into Everquest.
Couldn't find a gamma setting, so my half-elf character was in the
dark. So I exited after the tutorial finished and deleted the
character.
