hi, newbie 5 wiz hum on fironia vie has accumulated a bunch of nodrop (*)
items: skins, bones, ect. i gather these are some sort of quest items?
are they worth keeping (i am mostly armored in clotha and bought a knife
that was slightly faster than my nodrop knife)? how do i figure out what
to do with them?

thanks

Speak to your Guild Master (the person you handed your initial Note
to) about armor quests and stuff - there will be someone near him who
will give you magic armor in return for some of these nodrop animal
parts.

If you can't relocate them, use Ctrl-F (Find) to do so.

Normally typing /log on will turn on logging for that session. I am
not sure if you have the in-game Journal turned on either, and can't
remember how to access it - ask around in-game for advice on the
journal.

Yes, you have found the correct quest giver - each of the armour
pieces have a "pattern" and require some ingredients to be combined in
that "kit" - the first ones in the list require the most common
ingredients, the ones like chest and legs are the hardest to locate.

Write it down and off you go.

If you have journal on, alt j will pull up a window of every piece of
NPC dialogue said in your range, including things like those quest
recipes.

You may find it easier to keep an Everquest journal in a spiral
notebook.  That's what I do, logging the date and any special things
that happen.  Including quests and persons who were especiallly
helpful - or rarely, jerky.
I list all the quest armor on 1-2 pages and go a-hunting :).  That
makes it more fun when you know just what you need.

Plus, if you do a quest like the Shadow Haven faction quest, after the
1st time, you can just run through it, as you have all the notes.  It
takes almost no time at all, even though the last time may have been
months ago.

You're on Firiona Vie, and these things are nodrop? Including your newbie
dagger? Very, very little on FV is nodrop, unless this is something new...

This would be news to me.  Heck, Time gear is droppable there, but not the
stuff for newbie quests?

Are you sure, Ray, that you didn't mean "Lore" stuff?

I just had another question regarding FV and things not being no-drop:
Does FV have the "trivial loot" code?  I thought I read something
about FV players who needed items for their newbie armor quests but
the items wouldn't drop because the mobs were green to them so they
would have to buy the items from lower level players who still got
experience from the mobs (or maybe they could buy from vendors too).

FV does have the trivial loot code enabled. That's why some people
will have 2 person raids to get items that are on green mobs for
quests.

no, not sure. but you get them automatically with a right click and they
seem to stack and no-one will buy them, so I assumed ... :(

they may actually be dropable, i will try dropping some after i see if i
can get the quets info from the first lady i gave the note to.
unfortunatley, i screwed up giving the note the first time and did not
get my robe until level 3 or 4 so i don't know what will happen.

thanks

If they are no drop it will say no drop near the top when you right
click to see the discription box.
