Found the Doom Wiki but there was nothing there. I borrowed the
Collector's Edition and it runs beautifully on my system.
However, I can't seem to find the original keyboard configuration that
worked so well for me. My mouse is a USB so the game won't recognize
it.
I seem to recall using WASD and the arrow keys, but it's been a LONG
while since I played the game!

I've put some information about the "default" keys here:
http://www.geocities.com/roy_carin_080496/doomkeys.html
The images come from prboom for Linux and the Ultimate Doom game wad.
In prboom, you can configure the keys by going into Options/ Setup/ Key
Bindings. I don't remember if this was an option in the original Doom game.

That's actually a Doom95 problem - it doesn't have mouse support for
Windows NT/XP. Either use the dos version or a source port.

Defaults are arrow keys forward/back and turning, '.' and ',' for
strafing. CTRL fires, Shift runs, space uses - you probably want to
configure this in the setup application.
