weapons - DOOM 3

I only have fists for weapons. When I try to select any of the other
weapons I get nothing. So, it's fists or nothing. I went online to see if
there was an upgrade available and there isn't. What could be the problem?

Assuming you're just starting the game, you have to find/get/earn your
weapons, and you start out with just fists.

I have never played the game and haven't the faintest idea what/how to go
about it.

So being a smart a.s doesn't accomplish anything, unless it just makes you
feel better.

I'd rather get some pointers about the game, on what to do and how to do it.

The character you play in the game doesn't start out with any weapons.
As you progress through the story you will be given weapons by other
characters and then you will find some on your own.
Unless you have something else going on.
