I just receieved an e-mail from EB Games regarding my DOOM 3 pre-order.
They told me the release date is 7/20/04.....we'll see.

Sounds right. ID Software seems to know how to rapidly produce a game for
an engine in order to test it, even if it is not the best game of all time.
The rendering engine was obviously completed some time ago, meaning that
they were already working on the gameplay at this stage.
There are also complaints about Co-op being left out from the PC version -
meaning that it is definatly in the final testing stages.
Won't be buying it straight away - I'll see how it works from what my
friend tells me.

Amazon has it set for release 7/15/04.
I don't order new releases from them 'cause I can usually find some
small, local shop who ignores their release paperwork and puts it on the
shelf as soon as they get it.
I'm getting tired of aimlessly driving around Liberty and Vice Cities,
and my creative juices for my NWN mod aren't flowing at the moment, so
really looking for Doom3 to inject some life into the game habit.
