Doom is a game that created a wave of violence, turned kids into serial killers and raised the number of murders worldwide. Most kids who enjoyed to play Doom in the 90s are now murderers, rapists and cannibals who may be in YOUR house right now, ready to eat your a.s!!! Doom should be outlawed worldwide and all data destroyed, or the world will become a living hell!!! Don A. Well, if they're ready to eat a.s, they should be quite prepared for prison life. Yes, I know I sholdn't have replied. No, I don't he's being serious. Yes, I am aware that I am encouraging this kind of foolishness. No, I don't really care - cretins (I mean that in it's technical capacity...) deserve socialization too. No, what you're talking about here is called 'mental instability', or 'anti-social pathology' - I think you'll find that's the purview of religious/social fanatics and undisciplined authorities. Or both. Doom is an entertainment software apllication that helped popularize First Person Shooters, and is responsible only for awesomeness. And maybe the term 'Deathmatch'? Not sure. If the graphics from Doom or DoomII have ever inspired anything, it was the inclusion of true 3D models and level architechture in modern games. And the Doom novels, of course. I don't own any livestock (including donkeys) so I guess I'm safe. Most kids who DID ANYTHING AT ALL in the 90s are now mostly bored (NOT pyschotic) workers, with the occasional hobby geek, or hardcore gamer. The 90s really was quite lame. I state from experience that the 90s felt like it was just the tail end of the 80s. The only real difference was the amount of hairspray. Where the hell did you get your statistics?
