I have 120 herz refresh rate in windows
but when I start doom3 it switches to 60 herz, this looks bad and is not
good for the eyes, and there doesn´t seem to be any way to override it.

If you want 120 herz refresh ? it will tearing as ugly. I recommend stay at
60 FPS for DOOM 3

Anyone ?

Personally I cannot stand of tearing...

If you experience tearing, that means you do not have VSync enabled.
Type "r_swapinterval 1" to for Doom 3 to use VSync (as it somehow
overrides NVidia's and ATI settings.)

Right click on the doom3 icon on the desktop, and change the Target
Properties so it looks something like this:
"E:\GAMES\Doom 3\Doom3.exe" +disconnect +r_displayRefresh 120
