What are You talking about? The movie was actually in the theatres in
november/december.
What country You are from? Doom movie is a nicely done movie with good
action and nice FX/Music.
The plot isnt the best but it is a must for a game fan ;]

You can find discussions about the movie on the archives of this newsgroup

I just saw the unrated DVD version, it's mindlessly entertaining, but
there's no hell.  Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is an annoying presence,
everything about him "bulges" too much, including his voice.
The best thing about the movie is the brother-sister relationship
between Rosamund Pike's (new bond girl) and Karl Urban's characters.
That was actually refreshing, I completely assumed they were divorced or
some kind of failed love affair.
The fact that the enemies have no malevolent force spurring them on;
where the threat is viewed as a contagion rather than invasion, robs the
movie of any impact.
Too much f.cking swearing.

The only swearing I heard was people leaving the theater saying "I
paid to see this f**king shite?"

I saw it as a remake of Aliens (Alien-2) without Sigourney Weaver (both
entertaining) :-)

Yeah, but at least in the movie Aliens you developed a certain
compassion for the Marines.  I couldn't give a whit (much less see)
when a Marine died in Doom.
