You can wait until it gets officially released.

The alpha and/or beta versions of Doom use an outdated and less stable
version of the engine, and do not provide an accurate description or
feeling of the retail game itself.  The same applies to almost every other
alpha and beta of yet to be released games.

No, it won't be fun.

Perhaps you missed out on the original doom betas.  In those versions, the
only thing you could do is poke your bayonet at random monsters that
disintegrate instantly.  It is a tech demo, not a game.

The same applies to the beta version of Doom - it is a tech demo, not a
game. If you want to have fun with betas, then look for things like the
UT2003/2004 demos.  Not only are they fun, but they are an actual game
presented in a way that is guarenteed to appear in the reatil product.

I enjoyed the graphics and preview of how scary it will be using the alpha.

Oh, NOW I see how it is.  YOU get to play it, but the rest of us.... FORGET
IT!  Tryin to keep all the fun to yourself, huh?

And as for the "just wait for the official release" crap; Aw shucks, Dad.
Do we HAVE to?

Please stop being  parodies yourselves with this sort of sh.t.

Yes, you have to.   In case you haven't noticed, this newsgroup considered
the GFY homepage to be a "polite" response to the incessant demands to get
a free version of Doom..

If you can't wait two months, then you shouldn't even be here.

Damn n00bs.  It seems that September never ends.

*PLONK*.

WTF are you talking about?  I thought we were talking about a beta or a tech
demo.  It says beta.  It doesn't say warez.

Um, you didn't wait apparently since you seem to know all about it.
