domm3/roe and patch install sequence question....

hi all,

i recently had to reimage my machine here at home. since its been a
little while since i have installed doom3 and roe, i have have an
installation question.

what sequence should i install doom3, the 1.3 patch and roe.

im assuming the install order would be, doom 3, the retail 1.3 patch and
then roe. please correct me if im wrong.

as i read thru the readme file on 3dgamers for the 1.3 patch i see
references to a 1.1 and a 1.2 patch. i have the 1.1 patch tucked away in
a doom3 download folder since october 2004 but i dont have the 1.2
patch. i dont remember installing the 1.2 patch.

do the 1.1 and 1.2 patched need to be installed prior to installing the
1.3 patch. is the 1.3 patch for doom3 all inclusive?

That is the correct way.

All you need is the 1.3.

ROE would patch the game to 1.2 if 1.3 wasn't installed, there recently
was someone posting here who had problems installing ROE before
installing the 1.3 patch.

thank you,

i read the prior post and grabbed a nice little utility at the same time.

from what i can can remember, i installed roe sometime after i had
installed the 1.3 patch.

thanks to all that responded to my question.

the doom3 game/games are reinstalled and functioning with no issues in a
single player environment. i was never one to play them online.

i installed doom 3, the 1.3 patch and then roe.

again, thanks for the help.
