1.10 Hell Sorceress?

All,

Has anyone played through the beta in Hell with a ground-up sorceress
who started from level 1, preferably untwinked? I'm just wondering how
it will go. I am trying to think of some kind of strategy for a
Sorceress, but I am kinda drawing a blank. It seems to do the kind of
damage I would want to do (with the new 1.10 life amounts), I *really*
have to hammer on 1 element and its synergies, and yet that would make
me unable to do players/1 Hell, I would think.

I could see making a chill-length Sorceress who maxed all the cold
skills that increase chill length, but considering that the Amazon can
get so much out of items for this, it almost seems pointless.

Anyway, has anyone actually played a Sorceress in the 1.10 beta in 1
player mode through hell? How did you approach it? Reports?

Thanks,

Lewis

I'm in act 4 of hell with my sorc, and it's very hard.  I have max orb,
about 10 in each thunderstorm and meteor, and a couple in each mastery.
I have max resists in hell and lots of mana.

My gear is not too bad, since I stopped at hell meph for some item runs:
wizardspike
skullders
peasant crown
the ward shield
rare boots with 40% faster r/w and resists
tal's belt
gloves with + dexterity and mana
rare ammy with + mana, resists, and 22% magic find
nagelring
magic ring with 10% faster cast and mana

The one thing that rocks is my merc.  He's a defensive merc with smoke
runword in ancient armor, howltusk, and kelpie snare (slows 75%).  With
my cold and his attack, no single monster is a problem.  He does very
good damage against one creature, and the 25% chance to make monster
flee helps with packs.

The thing that is a problem is minions.  In a pack of 6-8 minions, the
merc dies a lot and I have to run around orbing and not getting hit.  I
can do it, and I can usually do it safely, but it's VERY tedious :)  I
just don't have that devastating of an attack.

I will let you know if/when I beat hell and how hard it was.

Lex
