Last night my USWest HC ladder sorc (50) was PKed using some kind of
hack/cheat/exploit that allowed an assassin (TychoBrahe, account name
Tweak-bz, apparently a very active serial killer) to use the WSK2 WP
immediately after hostiling me. The subhuman filth was partied with
me. Immediately after I used the wp, the hostile sounded. I
instantly clicked on the wp to go back, but the subhuman filth was
already on it. My sorc was dead before I could do anything else.

This essentially means that if you are partied and use a wp, you can
be dead one second later. Blizzard has screwed up again.

Oooh, I wish that person would be in my game. There is NOTHING in the game
more fun than being partied with someone, having them hostile and try to
ambush you, only to get killed themselves seconds later. I've had it happen
a few times now, one zon, one sorc, and one paladin. All three
underestimated the effectiveness of charge and smite. But then, I'm a bit
more cocky than some people...some people's first reaction would be to go to
town or leave game, whereas mine would be to set charge as my attack, wait
by the nearest WP, and smack them the moment they appear. Apparently, the 3
PKers I fought didn't expect people to fight back, and when someone not only
fought back, but had some duel experience as well, they were completely
taken off guard.

Yep, I posted a warning about this exploit about three weeks ago, and
was flamed for not posting the details. It's spreading surprisingly
slow (considering how fast scumbags usually pick up these exploits). I
reported it to Blizzard *before* they fixed the town kill exploit, but
they ignored this one. It doesn't require third party software.

How did she kill you? This fast?

Some a.shole posted the exact method to a popular forum. Ah, well.
Expect this to be common now.

Wasn't this reported here a few weeks ago? Someone mentioned there's a
way to avoid the wp timer.
