I use one from panicware.com - they have a free edition which is updated
frequently, catches almost everything, and if you do want to get something
that it thinks is an unwanted popup, you just hold down the shift key
and it'll let it through.  Free and doesn't suck, hard to beat.

Of course, as someone else mentioned, do a scan with adaware or similar
to clean all the spyware out of your system also/first.  (lavasoftusa.com)

I don't and i've never had any kind of popup advertising on any system
i've owned or been responsible for.

See what's installed on your system and google on their names, you'll
soon find out which in the adware and then you can remove it and be
ad-free.
