I bought the WoW battlechest. Of course I had troubles due to a
boneheaded account creation/upgrade process for first timers and a
broken account creation webform for NZers, but I have to admit WoW is
pretty spiffy. So far though the support seems pretty shoddy. But after
all the bad experiences of D1 and D2 I suppose I ought not to be shocked
:-D

Anyone feel free to remind me I swore I'd never buy another Blizzard
game ;-) *totally deserves any sh.t thrown my way*

*laughs* thank you. Hopefully Mickey won't call me on my earlier vows...

Not likely, as he understands that people change their minds. Also,
his kids play WoW, they just do not like it as much as Diablo. Mickey
will play the game when they give it away, but I suspect he will NEVER
pay to play a game he paid to won in the first place.

Hi Max,

Please pass on my regards to Mickey and his family. Here's hoping that both
you and they have a great holiday season.

Cheers,

Thanks.

I'm playing on *mosfetnz. Not a lot but probably an hour a day at least,
sometimes more. My MF has been atrocious this ladder so most of my
characters are underpowered.

I've heard most every year, as I think most people have, the speculation
about drop rates being changed for Christmas. Strange, yesterday afternoon I
found my first Sabizi's armour [of the ladder]. 20 minutes later I found my
second and the sword too. This afternoon I was playing my trapper in NM. She
can take out the minions fairly easilly but has trouble with Baal so I took
my MF necro in and took him out. He drops an Occy and a Demon Limb, both
firsts for this ladder for me. Then, tonight, playing the necro in hell, I
find another of each in different places. Very strange.

Cheers,

Just ask his nibs, he will hook you up with any gear you want, he
feels he owes you for all the help farming torches last ladder. He has
once again managed to rebuild his supply of JSP forum gold, this
ladder he has done it by buying keys and harvesting the organs and
selling those. Not sure exactly how much forum gold he has, but I know
it is well over 10,000.

Ehhh, I enjoyed the torch farming last ladder. It only felt like work a
couple times when Mickey was away and I was doing it by myself for a while.

That said though I *am* getting a little tired of fruitless MF runs, trying
to equip my chars. As it stands I've left a few clone sit games but am
unsure if my poorly-equiped pally could even take DC down. LOL. He probably
could, but it would be a battle royal. He has a wand with LT charges on
switch and my only 'uber' find of the ladder, an Astreon's, coupled with a
Spirit Royal Shield. His armour's a bit sad, a Black Hades with (Ral Ort
Thul?) runes for resistances.

I finally gave up waiting for an eth Thresher (or similar) for the merc with
5/0 holes a couple days ago and dropped my Obedience runes into a non-eth
Thresher. Far better than the rare thing he was using. Still, the extra 50%
damage of an eth one would have been nice. <shrug>

I'm still finding it strange that I found two each of Occy, Szabi's Skin and
Demon Limb in different games in a period of 36 hours, having found not one
of either all ladder until now.

Take care. Perhaps I'll bump into Mickey in the funny pages. <g>
