This is the main reason I have not gone to some flavor of linux, or even a
Mac.

Understood about the nick, but there are *many* progs, not just Agent.
See below.

Err... Firefox is a browser, I hope you meant Thunderbird, their
(Mozilla's) e-mail and newsgroup program?
Thunderbird has been updated quite a bit lately, it may be worth a second
(or first for EB) look.

ROFL, yes, Mozilla, that's what I meant. It's been so long that Firefox was
the only thing I could think of at the time. And I do have to say that it's
been about 10 years since I've looked at it. Maybe I'll give it another
try.

I wouldn't use IE if you paid me. I only use Firefox, it's really got better
heaps in the last few years and has these great 'plug-ins' like AdBlockPlus
that removes 90% of the ads in webpages with zero input from user.
Still stuck on OE though. :-(

Still won't work with Windows Update though. <g>

* I always hope for the best. Experience, unfortunately, has taught me
to expect the worst.

True. As you can't actually remove IE from Windows anyway (without
third-party software) that's not a problem, it's always there.
