R.I.P. Studentdriver (skellimancer)
My cousin just called me and told me that the lag monster killed him.
HC - level 80

We are not sure what char type he will be playing now / next. He does
have a druid up to about 20 he said.
He also did say that he will be sticking with HC, just that he is really
disappointed / upset at the moment. One thing to lose the fight fairly,
totally another to lose to lag.

:-( Sorry to hear of the loss.. I know of the pain. Give my condolences to

your cousin. Tell him that if he intends on doing an elemental druid i have
a rare amy he can have that has FCR and +ele skills on it.

Gah, that sucks, condolences man :(
I've been busy reinstalling Windows so I still don't have D2 up and running
yet. <g> Get him to try a Jabazon, maybe... she only kills one target at a
time but with the right gear and skillset she's all but unkillable, okies
aside. <g>

Ouch, that's quite a step down, 80 to 20. I always advise HC players to play
multiple characters, and have more than one close to your highest level.
That way when (not if, when) you die you don't have that big drop and it
tends to be less painful.

If you'd like, I'll get the AGDHC Chanter fired up and we can power some new
toons through Normal. Not exactly a rush, as we'll be doing our own killing.
But we should be able to be through Normal and in our 40's in a few hours.
It'll help your cousin get restarted.

Glad to hear it, speaks well for a successful HC career.

Lag bites, but it's another factor you need to account for and learn to deal
with.

Lag and PKs were about the only things that were killing my chars, so
I said heck, why not go play SP? And I'm having a lot of fun.
