Do books of search even exist or am I stuck with scrolls?

Hi Steve,

Sorry mate, I can't remember and it's been ages since I played. I play
Diablo 2/Lord of Destruction now, although I still have my Diablo/Hellfire
disks here.

Cheers,

Scrolls of Search? Hmm, I don't recall that one. At any rate, here is
a list of spells in the game and what form they come in.

http://www.diabloii.net/diablo/spells.shtml

I also recommend this site whenever I get a chance, I found it so
helpful.

Have fun!

Oops. Totally missed the "Hellfire" part. Never played it so I'm not
familiar with it, however I found these sites.

According to Jarulf's Guide, a Book of Search sells for $3,000, so
there must be a book somewhere.

Thanks to all that responded. She does in fact sell them. :)

Sorry to be late, but I'm on public internet access these days. Yeah,
not only does the B, er,  *W*itch sell them, but they also
occasionally drop. One of the main things I'm missing these days,
trying to get a Rogue to 50 in Diablo SP, is that darned Search
spell ;-)

Cool! A Wailwulf sighting! <g>

Good to 'see' you again. My Jarulf's guide got tatty and disintegrated eons
ago, I don't think I still have the file either. I do hope it's still
available.

Oops, Shaun has me killfiled, I guess he feels I have nothing of value to
say. So could someone please reply to this so he can see the link, just in
case he's interested in getting a new copy.

It's not that you have *nothing* of value to say Mark, it's just that I
don't want to read troll posts, and you're a self-admitted troll. a poor S/N
ratio will get someone into my killfile.

Thanks for the URL. Thanks ald for replying to this.

I limit my Mickey bashing to one thread every month or so. So as usual, your
charge of excessive signal to noise on my part are greatly exagerated. As
are your charges of Trolling. Just because YOU can't resists reading and
responding to them doesn't indicate any problem on my part. It's self
control on your part. But if the only way you can control yourself is by
KFing me, so be it, your loss.

Always glad to be helpful.

Heh! Turned out I still had it on my HDD anyway. I downloaded it, went to
file it in the logical place and got asked if I wanted to over-write it.

Yes I am still alive.

Glad to see you have a copy.  I actually went and downloaded all the Diablo
(1) files I could find about a year after DII came out and burned them to
disk.  I have a few versions of Jarlulf's Guide. So all the the mods Henjo
had on his site for D1 are archived on a CD along with who knows what.

So if you need something, email me at Wailwulf (at) att.net or Wailwulf (at)
Hotmail.com, since i come here about onse to four times a quarter year.
Hard to really read with the troll fest going on.

Been playing mainly Red Baron 3d lately, another old game from the late 90's
:)  Though it is still going pretty well with folks still makingmods for it.

Hmmm, mods for D1 huh? I never did try any mods for D1 (other than
Hellfire).

I just dug out my discs and installed D1/Hellfire and updated to 1.01 last
week, playing a Rogue.

Are the mods big? Are they good? Gooder than Hellfire? <heh>.

I might fire you off an email, that way you're on my contacts list.

I never did try that game. <sigh> So much to try, so little time.

Grr, I hope this comes through with the part I wanted quoted. Thanks
to you both, yeah, things are going reasonably well, I'm managing to
get over my Internet addiction, the only real mystery is what happened
to all of the plates and where all of these holes in the wall have
come from ;-)

LOL!! I've missed your postings. Good to hear things are going "reasonably
well". Could be worse.
