If you'd like to grow the healthiest orchids around and keep them
alive for five...seven...even eight or ten years (all while being the
envy of every orchid-lover around), then this might be one of the most
important messages you'll ever read.
The beauty of the orchid is known to anyone who has ever glanced in a
florist's window. But the breathless suspense of watching the growth
of an orchid is only known to those fortunate enough to own one.
It is both an exciting (and yet intimidating) experience to tend to
your first (or hundredth) orchid. And if you're just starting out (or
even if you've been growing orchids for awhile), trying to find
quality orchid-growing information is tough!
There isn't really a deliberate conspiracy to conceal information about
orchid growing, but there is still too little material available . Many
fine orchid books, first printed in expensive limited editions, have
been long out of print, and others, pub-lished abroad, have never even
been translated.
Recently a long-lost manuscript by orchid growing expert, Adelaide
Willoughby, has been rediscovered. Willoughby's work is one of the
greatest resources on orchid growing EVER written.
If doesn't matter if you're a beginner or pro grower - with this
single 119-page resource you'll have all the answers right at your
fingertips - anytime you need them.
Up until today, each orchid hunter, grower, and hybridizer jealously
guarded his or her secrets from curious and covetous eyes - but now,
this long-lost resource changes everything!
Beginning with a glimpse into the life secrets of the orchid and
continuing through to the rather specialized knowledge required for
growing orchids from a seed, the aim of Willoughby's work is to make
this fascinating and worthwhile passion (or hobby) available to anyone
who wants to get started.
(And for those already growing orchids, you'll pick up some advanced
tips sure to add variety and life to your collection.)
This is the perfect starter guide for beginners and pros alike,
complete with 51 pictures and illustrations, and simple and easy to
follow instructions in caring for many different types of orchids.

I wonder what ever happened to Orchid, 0tarin, and Short? It's been
quite a while since I've seen then in the group.

I think they got taken from us unto the terrible darkness that is WoW. ;)

I played quite extensively with Shari (Orchid) earlier on this ladder. She
deliberately kept a low profile in the group but, as we are in similar
time-zones (She Japan, me NZ) we were often on at the same time. She played
a lot for a while as she was between jobs (IIRC) and said that she wanted to
try out the 'new challange' of UT. I think she must have been to UT about
100 times with me a couple of times and her husband (and maybe others) the
rest of the time.
Then she said the challenge was beaten and I haven't seen much of her since.
I believe they may have had plans to move back to the US after 10+ years
living in Japan. Can't remember for sure though. There was no mention of WoW
that I recall.

If they have, they haven't announced themselves to us.

Seems to me like Short dropped out even before WoW went live. I wish he'd
pop in, because I'd like to know how his rugrats are doing--hope they're
doing well.
