1) Next weeks winning lotto numbers are sometimes inscribed on walls,
pillars and other varied places. It is strongly suggested that you study all
such areas dilligently.
2) The quality of equipment given you by your employer/sucker is directly
proportional to the haste of which he will resurrect you.
3) IM is not to be feared. It is short for invulnerable magic (shield)* and
directly increases your chances of finding the areas descibed in 1).
However, this only occurs if you can hit a monster while under the influence
of IM.
4) Witches fireballs should be caught at every opportunity. It is bad luck
to let them hit the wall/ disappear. The more fireballs that are in flight,
the more luck that is available, and it is suggested that you stand still,
preferably fighting something like a Aracnid while catching said fireballs.
This indirectly affects point 1)
5) If your employer/sucker equips you with a polearm runeword, it is always
prudent to put the switch in the off position when being resurrected.
6) If there is stygian dolls in your AO, it is suggested to walk 10-20 paces
BEHIND your employer/sucker. This gives said employer/sucker a chance to get
a few hits in before he can hide behind you.
7)  If all else fails, it is possible to get stuck behind a single chest.
This is a good way to emphasize your importance to a employer/sucker as you
will not be available as a shield at that time.
8) The higher your resurrection fee, the more often you need to rest. \
9) Your employer/sucker dieing is not a bad thing. This allows you to rest.
Also, it's not your gold, right?
10) The number of times you die is directly proportional to your chances of
finding the areas described in 1)

And so very true. Someone in the other group suggested that there might be a
correlation between merc names and how useful they are. Anything further on
this? I have some real daydreamer mercs, it can take 10 minutes to get them
to turn their auras on, often after a couple deaths. IIRC Emilio seems to be
a reasonable merc.

My hammerdin uses Pratham, who's not too bad... except he just _has_ to  hit
stuff when he's IM'd. Sometimes i think he does it on purpose. I mean ....
once bitten twice shy? Not  Prat. And i'm sure he laughs when i'm running
from dolls.

LOL @ Prat. I usually go for Azreal or Emilio. However, I don't currently
have an Emilio. I don't change games if the name I want isn't there, just
wondering if I should, if they'd feel more wanted....

Hehee, me too. I call them Kenny but the name uner the little picture
doesn't say Kenny.

When Mickey and I were doing 20+ UT runs a day my Kenny was surviving
about.. What Mickey? 70% of the time? It was cool having him along as, after
a while, the runs got a bit repetitive. Kenny gave us something to laugh at.

Not nearly as many times as the Zon, that's for sure. ;-)

Computers, like cats, can operate crossdimensionally; the trick is in
getting them to do what you want.

Hehee. I've often wondered if my new strafer could solo UT. I seriously
doubt it but she (relatively) easilly owns every other part of the game so
convincingly I do get the urge to try the challenge sometimes. Or at least I
would if the summoner ever dropped keys. :-)

Hi Kaytie,

So you recommend Waheed then huh? Handy to know, Griez never lets you see
their work history or references, you have to pick them blind. :-)

Cheers,

I always like to get a Debi for my zons, since Debi was the one whose name
became Euyfura in the Gemstone mod and formed the basis for SweetSpearGirl's
smartass merc ;)
