I'm planning to concentrate on ladder play, but i'm literally loaded with
non ladder stuff - and good stuff it is, after 3 years of playing, and legit
too. I was wondering if anyone was willing to trade it for some good ladder
equipment, and what kind of "exchange rate" should i use ?

You mean you want to give another ladder player some non-ladder stuff for
his non-ladder characters in exchange for his ladder stuff for your ladder
characters? Not likely at all.

If you were thinking that ladder and non-ladder characters could trade
with each other, that's not possible.

Perhaps he's asking in here as most posters seem trustworthy and a failure
to carry out an agreed trade with a reg, posted back here, would be rather
damaging to their rep?

That's what I thought he was meaning. Of course, an exchange rate of about
1:10 in favour of ladder would be about right I'd think. A hard one to work
out.

FI, I foolishly gave away my NL sorc's Spirit shield, thinking that I had a
better one on the mules. Unfortunately I'd told Shady that, with a few
exceptions, all the stuff on our mules once the ladder re-set was superflous
to requirements. I gave some stuff away, as did she. Now I can't find a
Spirit Monarch and the whole build falls down because of it. :-( I might
have to, sadly, delete the only sorc of note I ever built.

What I mean is, if anyone has a non-ladder character and needs enigmas,
beast axe, coh dusk shrouds, HotO flails, spirit shield and sword and inner
sight axe (from the old ladder), doom cryptic axe, botd bow, a bunch of
"minor" runewords (smoke, prudence...), lots of perfect gems, some nice
runes, and a load of uniques, i would be willing to trade for some ladder
equipment.

I am aware that I cannot trade directly non-ladder to ladder, which is why
i'm posting here. I was hoping to find a fair trader interested.

Not likely that anyone will be greatly interested in those sorts of
trades. However, if you hop on uswest and join the agd crowd, we will
take good care of you. Make a char, get that char to lvl 25 and see me,
I will get you to lvl 70 in 3 hours, then push you through to act 5
hell, and then we will outfit you with some good gear. After that, it
won't take you long to get the goodies, especially if you play with the
agd crowd, as we hardly ever pick up items anymore, we have them all.
It's actually funny, but if you're playing with the AGD crowd and a
monster drops both a gold colossus blade and a flawless gem, you're
MUCH more likely to see a race for the gem than for the sword :)

Hi Mickey,

I got my battery pack Pally to level 25, with 21 skill points remaining
I think, so he should be able to max Salvation and Fanat in pretty
short order (by level 50). Can I take you up on your offer some time? I
can return your cool scepter at the same time.

Well, in that case, I might be able to take some of the 'nicer' items you
listed off you.

I could perhaps also try to arrange some Non-Ladder to Ladder trades, but
I have limited time for that. However, if you do this via the right routes
(read: right forum) something's is possible. But it will take some time,
to find the right/trusted buyer...

Also, reading back to your original question, I see you didn't mention the
Real you where on. If you'd posted that, at that time, I would have
reacted sooner.

Anyway, if you want to reach me, I'm mostly online on *PatrickV1 or
*PatrickV2, and have a few non-ladder characters (from the previous
ladder) left...

Not much, due to social obligations... But if you're willing to mail me,
