Tend to avoid public games like the plague.  Although sometimes my
guildies and I will join random pubbie games for 'missionary work'
(bring in our high-level, tagged Paladins and help people out, clear
our mules of un-needed lower level items, etc).

Started playing this goofy game as a solo endeavor, but found things
are much more interesting when there's a coordinated team effort.
Definitely *not* the case in most public games.

Generally build my characters (US West SCL primarily) to solo in Hell
if necessary or make a viable contribution in team play.  Just don't
have the patience for the sophomoric bullshit that seems to be the norm
with the majority of public games I've dropped into.
