So I am online this morning, just reading emails when Phrozen shows up
looking for anyone. It turns out that 2 friends of his (husband and
wife) were in UT and getting nowhere. As he is non-ladder, he had no
way of helping. I was running a little late but decided to help anyway
and the hell with work. So I jump into the game and find a sorceress
and a druid. No wonder they weren't getting anywhere. The portal in was
loaded with minions and ALL 3 ubers. I died a few times making a path,
got in, for the BRC seperated from the others and offed him. Then I got
Mephy to chase me around until he was far enough away from Baal not to
jump me and exited the game. I rejoined, ran through and pounded Baal.
Now I took a little time out to clean up some minions, got the rocket
int o deal with the PI and then it was time for Mephisto. I fired up
Salvation (which I normally never use as my Fanat is higher than anyone
other pally usually around so someone else has that honor) and went to
work. Without fanaticism, it took a little prodding and a few large
purples, but eventually he hit the floor. I picked up the torch and
ID'd it and it was a pally torch. By this time, the sorc had left and
the drui was not thrilled as he had hoped for either a sorc or druid
torch. The speed with which I offered an top end dog torch in exchange
(I will also give his wife a sorc torch when next I extract one) was to
be admired.

Finally, that hunt has ended.

I would have done the same. Non-ladder? I thought you said you could
not help? You discovered some non-laader entities saved over the
months? Hey wow this means that you can come to NL UT with wife and I
and Misfit and hopefully Alan Ladd as he missed his last visit and if
Ash is around him also.

I am saving my NL chars because I expect that my sons will have much
enjoyment with them once they understand that good equipment does not
get sold to venders for nice "pr3tty" g3ar.

As for my Eastern play, you probably missed it. My stepson and his
friends were playing on East and his dad was also playing. Plus I was
getting to know the people in the agd2 newsgroup. And it would have
also given my wife a chance to team up with her son. So I had to play
there also but of course my stepson being the schmuck that he is
stopped playing - he was only playing to help his dad along and his
friends lost interest again. Teens, unbelievable huh?

No it was ladder, Phrozen is non-ladder and could not help them, which
is when he called on me. I do still have some non-ladder chars, but my
best was lost to time, my 48k damage Blizzard queen.

Yeah, teenagers make you understand why some animals EAT their young.
