DeadHeadShythed is Running Nilly yesterday and picks up a gray Great Hauberk. Yep, eth is was and no sockets and a defense of,... Ready? Defense of,... 736. Now aren't I glad I post here and learned about the Horadric Cube recipes for adding sockets? Especially for eth items? Hah now all this flippantry and I'll probably end up with one socket. Unless Larzuk puts the armor in the cube with a TAL, THUL and PTopaz. And Larzuk don't know better than to do that. He uses his armory tools the damn fool. Not bad. I think the best would be three sockets, because the Gloom runeword can enhance the def even more. I've got a Gloom Dusk Shroud with a lucky 255% Enhanced Defense. Err, wouldn't it be even higher? The Enhanced defense get added, so the calculation would be: 736 x 1.5 x 3.55 = 3919def. Not bad! I've got a few Duresses around, made in such a 'bugged' ethereal 3 socket armor, and these came out around 3000def. Same here, and mine has a 4434 DEF stone. This is my east accoutnand I don't plan on rushing 20 mules to Hell Larzuk like I did on the Weat so runes are at a premium right now. But so far I ahve been lucky. I got a LEM potentially for Delirium. Of course I ahve to ask myself what the hell do I need that for on East. I got the PUL for my chanter's sorc armor. I got the runes I needed for an Odediance. I amy have to delay decision. I think a Stone in the necro merc might be nice as he prbably does not need so much CB given that 50+ minions can potentially run around. Gonna have to study things a little more. Maybe even trade would have to be considered but I would then go high high high on this one. Would love to get an Arkaine's Valor and build a Zon that my wife could play on East. OMG I ramble too much. Oh well gotta go. Well, if you're rambling on and on about East, I have a spare Arkaine's you could have. Can't remember the rest of the variable mods, but I do know it has +2 skills.
