In a sea of idiots

Mickey - 18 Dec 2005 17:35 GMT OK, I have seen some dumb things in my time. I have even seen a few things on bnet that bordered on insane, but this morning simply took the cake. I was doing a few public baal runs. I was doing the teleporting down, so every once in a while, I would need to visit Malah for either blue scrolls or black pots. I GET to the throne room, clear out a nice landing zone and open the TP. I then go back to town and visit the old girl, and while I am checking what I need refilled, I note 2 runes in her miscellaneous window. One was a KO, the other a LEM. I asked "Who sold these runes to Malah", and some idiot replies "Me, I only save runes UM and higher".
Gah!!!!

I mean, if you aren't going to be bothered keeping them why bother picking them up? I don't know, but I don't think they are worth the 35,000 to sell. Is there some hack that picks them up automatically?

Is there some hack that picks > them up automatically? Grab-it does, but I do not think anyone uses it these days what with Blizzard's tracker running. In reality, they do sell quite nicely given the amount of INV space they occupy. I mean, if you are willing to pick up an armor to sell for 35k, then 6 runes that sell for 6k each are just as good.

Oh there are idiots still using grab-it and pick-it. Was running baal with a crowd that "noooo" did not use mh (yeah right) and using pick-it to boot. Changed runs after that after all I want my chance to grab loot too LOL

Body parts? Just ask!
Last ladder, somebody skinned The Lizard, and the anni that dropped was better than the one s/he already had. So after a check to see who's online, somebody drops into my game and asks if I have an anni... I say "not yet", and I'm given one...
...and that event was rather unsurprising because of the community culture.

Despite all the usual trials and errors. Gave up on it because I conned the family into playing. Then the new ladder hit and it's been all about getting gear and climbing the ladder. Slowly but surely. Life is good!

You do have to put up with having friendlier competitors on your way up the ladder.
The Mod Owner openly solicits ideas from "the family" (that's all of us).
I'm currently working over the "old sets" (Angelic, Arctic, Berserkers, etc) so that they're not just dilutants in the drops list.
Ah well... if you're interested in getting past start-up errors, I'll be happy to help.

If I get bored with bnet I will revisit some mods.

I gotta play in more pubbie games. Rune drops seem to be better at Malah's than out in the field of battle.
