Hello Louis,

In addition to the 3 sets of keys I have for for my wife, me and Misfit
I am working on a second set in hopes that you will be able to come and
visit me on WestUS and go to UT with me.

My zon runs keys very fast but not sure if she is usefull in UT. Level
37 LF and 34 Plague do seem to put a hurt on non-immune beasts. If so
my wife will play her. I have a fanat/conv/salv Pally with a
Kingslayer, but no Draculs, but I have a wand of life tap.

I might place the wand on a two swing barb who should have a Cresent
Moon and Kingslayer (both swords) for the battle in UT. I have to see
if I can get his resists up to a good level seeing as how he is not
using a shield. But he has a good war cry and frenzy and sword mastery.
He has pretty good natural resists. Maybe he could survive. I tend to
do a good combo of war cry and frenzy and the Static field and crushing
blow can't hurt.

If you and others can comment on the possibility of that barb and pally
succeeding there it would be nice. We can at least go after body parts
and see how the pack does. I'm not sure if I have another char that
your girlfriend can play. I have a necro but he needs to level more and
a hammerdin a bowazon a cold sorc

If UT sounds rough for these I will continue to hunt keys, body parts
and better gear.

As for ladder tristram. I believe that we have a chance for that in the
future. I will keep you informed.

I have a pair of off-ladder Drac's you can have if you want. The wand could
still be good on switch to get the life tap going initially, sometimes it
can be a bitch to get it to start from Drac's. I have Demon Limb (and a
second HoZ, LOL) on switch to enchant us all with when we face them. I don't
know if it's worth making it a players 4 game (your choice) but I could also
bring in my frenzy barb with two echoing swords on switch for a level 34 BO,
then leave him in town. It just means the ubers have a few more hit points
if he's there. Trade off I guess, double our hitpoints for increasing theirs
by whatever percentage. Or I could shout us then take him out of the game
before we go down the portal, then bring him back in if need be. Once
they're spawned at players 3 they stay there I believe.

Shame about the sword mastery, I could have leant you my frenzy barb's
weapons, an eBotD 'zerker and a Beast 'zerker. It's good having fanaticism
on a barb.

That's why I love Stormlash. My frenzy dude used to have a pair of scourges
(in preference to the axes), an ethereal Oath in the right hand (50% IAS)
and a Stormlash in the left. However Shady requistioned those weapons for
her frenzy-frog. (Wearing Leviathan)

When Demi and I killed the ubers for the first time Shady was there with her
frenzy barb and he did fine. However, as mentioned, he had two scourges, one
of them Cresent Moon's big brother.

She is welcome to play either Chill-Bill or Kuhal (My 'zerker frenzy guy) if
you want. I trust you with my account and any friend of yours... etc. (LOL,
in other word your responsibility. :-) ) I have a necro too if you/she'd
prefer. I'd just have to make sure he had some good gear, I've moved stuff
around as I don't play him ATM. Actually I have two, a Trangs guy and a MF
guy. Basically the same build, meatgrinder-hybrid. Or there's my M'avina's
Zon with 125%IAS / 2fps strafe. I don't know how she'd do in UT though.
She's damn fast but doesn't do that much damage.

Hello Misfit, update here.

I have the 3 sets for you me and the wife. Just a matter of finding the
right Sat nite (sun day for you) for my wife to go after the lessers.
Also we gotta make a gmae and checke to see how lag, ping and
connections are doing before we open the portals. We'll fart around a
bit to check out that. And you are welcome to bring in the barb for
some yells. Send him out to the waiting room after he yells and we'll
bring him back in if we have to refresh.

As for the game with Lewis, I have not heard from him yet. I am farming
a second set of keys anyway. I'm not even sure if the barb will handle
it well once the static field helps get the ubers down to 50%. The
static will also keep knocking all the minions down to half and that
might get them out of our hair quciker. The problem with the frenzy is
that the fast speed kicks with right skill then double swing with the
left then time runs out and you have to right click again to get hte
frenzy going again. It does nto seem to be a forever effect like the
zeal. I'll test him out with the lessers first. His War Cry ,if I am
able to get it off occasionally between swings will keep some nearby
minions stunned.

We'll try me you and my wife first to see how she likes it and to see
if she wants to make another go atr it and to see if this well built
Zon does a good job on the minions that are hanging out. I think Lewis
on my pally ,your Chill Bill and perhaps my barb will get the job done.
If the Zon is very succesfful at helping in the other game and if the
wife liked the jaunt maybe we'll bring the zon back in for crowd
control. We will decide on that later.

If those Drac;s are an extra spare pair then that sounds good. I do
have a shaftstop armor but it is not upgraded. Not sure if that will
matter.

I have an axe barb with some saved skill points. If you think an axe
barb will be better say so.

This depends on how many players you think should be in that game. We
shall see how we do in our first excursion (me you and wife).

Yes, BUT I now have a zon on ladder and Kasmir is maknig a BF sasin
using the Jabber, svh, shiflet build guide. Slow going right now but
after the weekend we could be sliding through NM. Once in hell the keys

Hello Orion,

I dont know what is happening; i replied twice to your initial message
but my answers never reached usenet ! They got lost in some limbs.. (I
will send that message at your email adress as well (AOL)...just to be
sure.

Your invitation sounds great !! It would be a pleasure to play with you
again. I understand that you would like me to play your pally. I can do
that. If Misfit's generous offer still stands (having Christine plays
one of his chars) it would be perfect (even if Christine is very
stressed about using someone else char...)

I am farming keys as well. When the 3 set are complete, Christine and i
would be more then happy to invite Misfit and you in east. I have a
clvl 88 Straf/Multizone that could, maybe, help in UT. I could post
the profiles of the 4 chars that could be use. You and Misfit choose
yours and Christine ans i will use the 2 others.

Great Louis!!

I am gearing up my frenzy barb and reviewing the minion stats to
determine if I go with the barb or zon or if my wife brings in the zon
and I go with the barb. Will decide over the next few weeks.

Second set progress - 3 D keys and 1 T key so the harder work is done.

And I am stockpiling the purples as I have learned from you.

Hey Orion,

I have a complete key set for now.

Christine and i will only go for Destruction keys this weekend. With
the help of your map description from the WP and the Hall of Vaught's
pattern that was shown in the same thread, i hope we will gather 3 or 4
of them. I will then trade one for two Hate and/or Terror, and complete
some sets. It is also IMO the most interesting area to keyhunt (i just
cant stand Arcane Sanctuary anymore....) and a relatively safe place
too (with Christine using her Strafazone).
I understand that you would like to play the bowazone on our next UT
journey. I will post her profile/gear soon, so you could get an idea of
the char. I think that a Zone/Necro association for crowd control could
be very effective (while the pallies will take all the honor of killing
the Ubers....). We will elaborate some game plans in this
perspective...

You use frenzy in combination with double swing? Why? I use frenzy all the
time with my guy. It never runs out. :-)

Yeah, I have spare Drac's from last ladder. I was a pack-rat. Actually I
have two pairs. :-)

It doesn't kmake a huge differeence if the Shaftstop is upgraded or not
really as the desert merc has quite a high innate defence anyway when he
gets up there in levels. You're welcome to borrow my upgraded one that I've
already put in Bill's stash or try your standard one, up to you.

Not neccassarilly better, just the axes I have are pretty damn good and I
thought you may like to borrow them. Kingslayer and Cresent Moon are a good
combo too, it's just that Beast and BotD do about double the damage and
provide a level 9 fanatacism aura as well.

Sure. I'm not angling for a spot in the second excursion, just offering the
use of my characters if Louis or partner needs a character on US West to
use. However, if you'd like another player along as well then that's fine
too.

On ladder I'm building Chill Bill II, he's lacking gear in a big way but is
level 67 and is in act 1 hell. I have a skellymancer, level 89. However, I
don't think skellymancers do too well in a party in UT. In a players 1 game,
with the right revives, yeah. In a multi-player game.... I'm not so sure.

Damn and here I am having played barbs from day one. Now I am going to
have to go out and see what is up. In my early it seemed like I never
got much of Frenzy using it as a left skill. So I tried putting it on
the right skill. I still had double swing on the left skill. Alas once
again it did not seem to be doign much so in the midst of the so-called
"frenzy" I stopped clicking the right button and clicked the left and
suddenly it looked like my character was movign at 78 speed, swinging
like holt hell and runnign around like somebody put the game on fast
forward. I just figured then that this was the way it was done. When I
slowed down I just went back to the right click and each successive hit
brought my speed up and then again back to left and infinite speed.

So you say put frenzy on left button, frenzy and the speed will kick in
the same? Ok I'll try that. I'll experiment with hell diablo or hell
baal or andy or someone who deserves to be experimented on.

I might just pop the stop that I have on him. I wouldn't want to have
us spending a 1/2 hour gearig up before battle, unless our gearing up
can be done in under 5 minutes. I plan to have all the needed purples
already onto the chars and extra purples stored away on my hell mules
(retired worthless characters, like MarcusShythedMD). And when we move
big gear we will use the trade window just to be extra safe that Bnet
does not suck the big stuff uop into its a.s.

For that battle Louis will probably have my pally who has the fanat
syndrome already. Keep in mind this barb can always pop those items
onto his weapon switch and once the static gets the uber down to 1/2
then switcheroo to your weapons.

I will keep this in mind. I guess it comes down to how many chars in
the game becomes a crowd for too much life for the ubers.

Hey you might get a chance to meet Louis. He has offered you a spot in
the next run on the East. Does NZ pick up the east server well? He's
got a nice pally there. If I go along I'll try out that bowazon and see
if I can keep the crowd under control. Hope she is packed.

Louis skelly guy had level 45ish raise and mastery and he wrote that
post detailing the travials. We will make plans for ladder runs in the
future. My piddley assed zon might be NM ready after the weekend. She
is one of those weak builds until level 30 zons so the going is slow
for her at first. But from past experience she takes off like a rocket
once she hits 30. I will remember to save specific gear for Bill if I
am lucky enough to run across it. But given the way you and the rest of
the gang frequent the realms more than I do, you and they will likely
find it before I do. Keep Kasmir's BF sasin in mind when you pick up
items and try to determine their usefulness. I think he is going to
have alot of fun in Hell with that girl.

Chill BIll has about 30 purps but didn't need many last time. I'll take the
upped shaft off him and give him the Dracs.

Ok, if Bill has room I'll get him to hold Kuhal's axes too.

Sure, Just offering the use of my characters. If I'm playing on west I'd
prefer Chill Bill, Then Kuhal in that order.

I haven't tried East, I'll start a char and give it a try later. That'd be
cool.
