My third torch this ladder and I think it's arguable got the worst
stats of them all.  Fortunately it's at least for a character I'm
planning on building.  But then again, my Necro wasn't going to be
anything other than a char to bring in to help with corpse recoveries,
break through stair traps and the such.  And at 14% res all, 14stats,
it's below average.  Still, for the Necro at least, it'll be the
+skills that are the best part of it.

On some slightly better news, I found a 2nd Reapers Toll and the
countess gave me 4 shael, 1 pul and a lem while I was searching for
keys.  Oh, and I also picked up a 2nd cats eye amulet from Andy
sometime.

Oh, and as soon as I get another torch, Wooley's got dibs on my Druid
torch as he kindly donated a Terror key to my cause.  : )

I found both the stats and the resists more or less useless for my
necro. Oh, I guess the resists WOULD Have been useful IF I had an SOJ
(or better yet a BK)  or 2, but as I do not, I have rings with nice
resists, and stats are always useless for my necros. Yeah, a little
more life and mana, but as I play almost exclusively MP, there is
always a friendly barb (like SvH's) around to take my from 2k life to
instant God mode :)

I'm getting there.   Mephisto dropped an Arkaine's Valor yesterday, alas it
was only a +1 skills version, but hey, another skill point is another skill
point (plus all the other cool stuff on it).   One of his switch weapons is
still a +2 war cries weapon instead of a +3, but nevertheless, he can raise a
level 32 or 33 Shout and Battle Cry.    Now, we just have to get him some
cries charms, an annihilus, and a torch, and then we'll be getting
somewhere...  :-)

What the... my brain said "Battle Orders" and my fingers typed "Battle Cry".
And as for Ist runes socketed with Ist runes... damn you fingers!   What was
that program that used to have a spooky hand that used to crawl out of boxes
and stuff?   I think I have a pair of those!

I shudder to even consider imagining. Really, it's just another case of
Aussies helping our poor, backwards New Zealand friends. (found out the
other day from somebody at work that the NZ mail gets delivered on
Saturdays, now what kind of backwards thinking country is that)

The sort that's only one point behind you after the first race of the new
A1GP series at Brand's Hatch in England over the weekend. Brazil 21 pts, Aus
16 pts, NZ 15 pts, the rest of the world....less. Not bad ay? The US and
Italian entries didn't even get one point (Didn't finish in the top 10 in
either of the races on the day). Even germany only got one point (finished
10th in one race).

Now if our driver, Matt Halliday, hadn't stalled on the start grid for the
second race from 3rd position (the team adjusted the clutch between races)
and have to start from 25th position he wouldn't have had to pass all those
other cars and work his way up to 4th by the end of the race. Be nice to
have started at the front....

BTW, your driver, Will Power, WTF sort of name is that? Like... Cher or
Madonna.....

You think this is going to take off? I must admit that I am really not
much of a motor racing fan but I do tend to watch F1. Actually, I have
even stopped watching that this year. I am a big fan of Niki Lauda
though and heard he is involved in the Austrian team, which hopefully
does better than his airline.

I don't know. I think it might as 25 countries are represented as opposed to
a half-dozen very rich men as in F1.

Same here, about all I watch live is F1 and Bathurst. Unfortunately F1 is no
longer going to be free-to-air in NZ next year as Sky TV (Subscription)
bought the rights. Ironic really as they used to have the rights and I used
to subscribe. However, they failed to renew them back in '98 or '99 so I
cancelled my subscription in protest. (After several phone-calls, making my
position very clear. Quite a few people did the same). Now I don't have Sky
and can't afford it anyway. As of next season I won't be watching the F1
live for the first season in 12 years.

This year has been the most exciting for ages. For the first time in 5 years
Michael Schumacher isn't dominating it. In fact Fernando Alonso just won the
championship from Kimi Raikonen.

Great driver.

:-) Yeah.

It must have been polearms day yesterday, in general... Eldritch dropped both
a Bonehew and a Reapers (not at the same time though... that would have been
spooky).   And then, while testing out a high MF barb in single player, I
horked up ANOTHER Bonehew from him.   Of course, what we really wanted was for
Pindleskin to drop a 3 socket eth tomb reaver, but oh well.
