Ouch! People I gotta warn you all ahead of time. I will not be held
responsible for any character deaths that should occur in any games
that I play with this necro, at least until I get the feel for it. I
will not take the blame for any deaths that I might play a part in
causing.
I promise that somewhere along the way I will get better, but until
then it is "caveat emptor" or beware fellow AGDers, for I know not
what I do at this time.
It's like this character is not melee and he is kind of a caster but
he not a caster like the sorc. He is like a ringleader of his little
troupe, or perhaps I should say an orchestra conducter of his little
entourage and he has to keep an eye on things in a much different way
than melee characters and a sorc have to, or should I say I have to.
He does not attack directly; he can only attack through others or may
modify the attacks of others or alter the abilities of foes. Who cares
about that 1-250 lightning damage on that wand. To hell with it, he's
not gonna swing it. Well maybe in normal I got him swinging but I sure
as hell don't want to swing in hell. Haven't decided on nightmare yet,
probably not. Maybe an enchant on the weapon will keep it strong in
case of an emergency but other than that - no way.
I think one of the things that got me a little confused today was
getting that item with corpse explosion so now I had to keep an eye
out for corpses to explode. I think one point of CE is a requirement
for graduation. The plusses will increase the radius. I think that I
wasn't able to explode dead skeltons.
Well I will keep working on it but till then you guys better duck and
cover or head for the hills if it looks like I haven't yet mastered
the necro to a point where it makes life comfortable for others or
should I say where it does not make death uncomfortable for others.
Hee hee!

It's the best skill in the game, with the possible exception of
teleport, and should always be maxed IMO.

Certain corpses cannot be exploded: your own and other chars' summoned
minions, including wolves, bears, skels, revives and golems; dead
merc-type corpses, including all the corpses that were never mercs;
dead chars.
