The -seed (n) command line switch no longer appears to work, though -act
(1-5) certainly does, at least it does with 1.10 final SP.

I never was sure why someone would want 10 trillion flayers or fallen
on them anyway. I can't get the buggers off me fast enough. :-(

-seed gave you a billion monsters.
Well, ok, maybe not a billion, but a *lot*.

The switch -seed (n) would populate your game with more monsters than
you could poke a stick at. Using -seed 10 would create so many monsters
that they would be literally wall-to-wall outside the Rogue camp.

Damn, that is cool!
Too bad I'd never heard of that before 1.10 came out.
short - unless it really does still work of course

It was in either the first or second beta version of 1.10, possibly
both. So if you have the beta patch laying around somewhere, you might
want to load it up and have a look-see. SP for certain, TCP/IP probably,
Open possibly, Closed - forget it :) It's a command line switch to be
used with a shortcut in the following manner (my D2 folder is in the
root of C:)
"C:\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -seed 5
The number used can be (IIRC) one to ten, but even 5 produces more
monsters than a sane person would want to see in a lifetime. Expect your
frame rate to drop somewhat:)
