Hi,

I just found the swords Frostwind and Flamebellow (not in the same game, but
the same day).
I wonder how good are these two items ?
I don't have any barb and i wonder if it is interesting to create a sword
barb to use these swords.

Thnaks for answer

Frostwind is pretty darn fast.  With all the cold damage and an elemental
absorb, it makes it comparible to a lightsabre in some ways.  The
flamebellow I'm not as keen on...

I heard there is a bug with flamebellows on a barb. If you equip
flamebellows and do a leap attack (theres someting else you gotta do too.
Just can't remember) it freezes the monsters and they don't fight back but
you can hit them. I have never had a flamebellows so I could never test it.
But I read it somewhere. Anyone else know about this and tried it? It sure
would give the sword some value.

Found it:

(1) INVINCIBLE BARBARIAN BUG
1) Equip a flamebellows to gain the +to inferno bonus.
2) Set inferno on left click.
3) Set leap on right click.
4) Do inferno and leap and everything locks up and you become invincible.

That's hardly an honorable way to play.

Heh, nice. Do you know if that works against other players? Would be nice to
surprise some pk'ers..

BTW, wearing 2 flamebellows... this mean i can get
+6 fireskills
+24-36 inferno?

This means (without +skills) that u can deal (with 36)...
680 -719 fire dmg per sec
range 20.6 yards....

"Shane MacIntyre" <enco@encoeng.com>, if you're frightened, you can be
frightened, it's okay:

I encountered this bug by accident with my frenzy barb.  I was using
inferno to see if it could kill anything in Hell, (not really) and put
leap on the other button to keep myself safe.  But when I did it, it
locked everything up and I could not attack or do anything. The
monsters were all going through attack motions but not moving and I
was losing life fast.  I exited right before I died.  I managed to
make it happen again a few minutes later with just one monster on
screen and it did the same thing.

Everything was red like it was too high in level or strength req or
something, all of my equipment, everything in my stash (including the
cube), the potions in my belt.. all of them had the red background and
I could not move anything, pick anything up, etc.  It didn't cripple
my enemies, it just crippled me.

That sounds like the old "leap attack bug" that was fixed, then reintroduced
in the 1.10 Beta.  Evidently it was only "mostly fixed" since the beta.  I
think one thing that triggered it was leaping, then keying another attack
mid-leap before landing.

Maybe because Inferno is one of the few skills that keeps running as long as
the button is pushed down. Every other barb skill would finish its cycle
before the Leap would start - Inferno would be an exception, as it would
still be active when the Leap button was pressed. Whirlwind used to be
vulnerable to this too, if you clicked on another monster to attack before
the spin cycle was complete (also getting all-red gear).

Heh, yep, I was always very careful about ww'ing with my HC barbs,
especially during cow runs.
