I started playing the beta from the day it was released, so I had some
time to adjust. But one of the hardest things I've found to deal with
is my resistances being cut from Normal to NM to Hell. My level 70
FO/Meteor sorc has all kinds of resistance gear, plus she has so many
resistance charms she has to put them down in order to pick something
else up. I'm dealing with it, but it is a -huge- consideration. She's
wearing Duriel's Shell, a Duskdeep Helm, socketed with a perfect
skull, an amulet that provides +15 to all resistances and -3 magic
damage, Moser's Blessed Shield socketed with two perfect diamonds,
which provides +63 to all resistances, plus rings and boots/gloves
that provide some resistances, as well as Gloom's Trap Mesh Belt. She
still has problems, though the character screen says her resists are
maxed. It's been so long since I played 1.09 that I can't remember if
the resistance issue was this huge or if Blizzard upped the ante on
it.
All I know is that I'm gonna roast in Hell ;)

Yep, that's a big downside. Maxed resists don't count anymore.

It seems knockback doesnt work as it did
I get 10 (yes you read well) 10 !!!!! exp a cow in a 1 player game
lvl96 -97 would need around 20,000.000 cows then!

I noticed this too. I also noticed that guided won't work around obstacles
like it used to. I have to be in a place where a monster can hit me before
guided will hit them. Blizz is making it tough on us bowazons. Well at least
my Valkyrie can leech and do decent damage now. Also, poison damage seems to
be shortened or nerfed. guys stay green for shorter periods with seemingly
less effect on them.

Supposedly exp drops to .008 of monster exp when you are level 98 now.
On the plus side, I watched a level 20 pal leeching in a full hell cow
game. He left at level 20 after the cows were all killed. Leeching
seems obsolete now.

Awesome!!! (But did the Pally stay close to killing?) More than about 2
screens away and you get no share of XP.

definitely - I periodically had to herd a few towards him so he would
keep back (I don't like leeching item grabbers)

That's exceedingly good news. Not only are hacked items deleted, rushing
nerfed and now characters that are in Hell 30-50 levels too soon just
leeching (both XPs and drops!)
We can hope to see a shift for the better in terms of quality play.

The slower rushing is really having an effect on people. Last night we had a
level 6 trailing behind our slow-motion rush (led by a pair of
skellimancers, of all things) - we ended up in Act 3 at level 24; he was
still level 6. I haven't been in an Act 3 game yet where the party has made
it out of town before everyone leaves. "No portal to Durance? I'm outta
here!" Where do these people think they are going to go?
People are completely spazzed out that they can't just portal to Canyon of
the Magi and head for the correct Tomb. It's amazing the number of level 20
characters that are getting chopped apart trying to get the Cube. People
have forgotten how to play, they don't know where stuff is, and they can't
handle the fact that you have to kill stuff to level up. The anti-rush parts
of the patch are having the biggest effect of everything so far.

Heh, they most likely never knew how to play to begin with.

>The size of the durance has increased incredibly!
The size of the durance, the tower and the areas beneath Blood Raven's
hangout is increased in nightmare, and then again gets larger in Hell.
It's an anti-boss-running thing. I like it. :)
