More on Expiring Characters

My new Assy used to have the 'expires in 10 days' message. Once that
character played enough (timewise) that message disappears. Looks
like all characters have a burn in timeframe now - I am guesing it is
2 hours per character - not account.

My own guess is that it may take a single in-game session of 2 hours -
my own character's been played longer than that in total, but not at
one go, and still shows the "expires in..." message.

I experienced the same. I'm very sure that one of my characters was
played for something like four hours, but not a two hours block in the
same game. Blizzard says individual, shorter sessions are added, but
that's not quite what I'm seeing.

The expired is disappearing off my chars sometime after the 2 hour mark.
It's close enough to 2 hours for me to believe.

After a longish session yesterday, mine's finally gone as well.
(Relief.)

Maybe it has something to do with character's level too?
