Europe Ladder Act2 defence merc in Hell, Act1. With a lovely Insight :) Merc sees multi-arrow cold cursed turned-to-evil amazons, runs in without thinking (not his best 'attribute'), and dies. Merc sees lightning cursed zombie champion, runs in, dies. Merc sees some feasting nothing-special minions, runs in, dies again. Now these minions are feasting on him. Oh oh oh, can't keep up resurrecting him, running out of money soon. Guess that was to be expected, he has no life leach. What's an acceptable trade value for, let's say a Crown of Thieves? Have been running a game with 'O Pgms N CoT', but nobody showed up in an hour. Maybe a bad time of day or maybe I've more luck mentioning the amount of gems I am willing to offer? Mine runs in, changes his mind, and guides all the nasties right back to where I am standing. While an Insight in a non-ethereal Partizan is fine for Normal and NM, it does run out of 'steam' when entering Hell. [typical examples removed] >Guess that was to be expected, he has no life leach. I've traded away mediocre variants of 'Crown of Thieves' for a handful of pgems. When ethereal and (close to) perfect, it's quite valuable. To be honest, I think Tal Rasha's Mask is a perhaps somewhat more appropriate helmet for an Act 2 Merc, and that certainly goes for a few pgems each. So try acquiring that? Failing that, try gambling circlets/coronets; these can spawn with life leech, and on top of that with +life, +ed, res-all, and all sort of other assorted goodies for a merc. Ouch! >But seriously, I'll give that a try. It's indeed a lot more common. Beyond that, Tal Rasha's Mask is about total garbage for a Sorc, unless you have most of the rest of the set available. Your sorc will like that a lot more than a Tal Rasha's Mask... I was playing a bliz sorc and every time I looked around the merc was standing behind me.
