So I've read that after Trist runs, about level 15 or so, it is good to
go on Tomb runs. My question is: how do you do Tomb runs at level 15? Is
there a waypoint or quest you need to get/complete before you can start
doing Tomb runs? And how do you do that at so low a level?
Probably a dumb question but I've been away from D2 for a number of
years and I never did rush/fast-level much before.
Cheers,
A.

Actually tomb runs are the best place from lvl 12 or so. Hit 12, kill Andy
and rush to tombs. You'll usually get a level or two on the way.

It can be done by simply skipping Radament and anything deemed unnecessary
and getting to tombs ASAP or, preferably, you either get another person to
rush you through the needed quests and give you the WP or fire up your
second instance of LoD and rush yourself.
BTW, I find that, especially if you're physical-damage based and require
leech, repeated Vally runs are better than tombs where there are unleechable
skellies. If you get to the valley at lvl 12 / 13 the first couple clears
should give you two levels each.

That would explain it then. ;-) The only dumb question is the one that you
don't ask.

...or the one you've asked 12 times before and keep forgetting the answer to

The truth is, Trist runs and tomb runs are both just a way to get big
parties together, which is how the game has been designed to give max
xp/time (Baal runs are different, because his minions have high mlevel
and give huge xp). If you could keep a big party together, you'd
actually level faster just laying waste to level-appropriate areas,
because you wouldn't have the lost time between runs.

Twinked to the eyeballs and/or in a big party.

You need to do the Viper quest to get into the Arcane Sanc, and the
Summoner to get from there to the Canyon. As for doing tombs at a low
level, that's what the runs are for: big parties with a variety of
classes have no trouble running the tombs with level 12 and lower
skills: a pally for Might, a necro for Amp or DV and summoned tanks, a
trapper with Wake of Fire, a Druid for Oak Sage, a barb for Shout and
Howl, and the sorc chills everything with Frost Nova. And a zon to
look blonde and busty.

Thanks muchly for the help folks. In the end I ran through the harem eyc
to the summoner and splatted him. That worked and I found a green light
belt for my efforts :)
