Is it possible for a HC Lightning Trapsin to get through Hell without
the benefit of Infinity? I'll never find those runes and I'd like to
know if it's worth continuing with her. Thanks.

I assume you are also using DS. In addition to your merc, SM, FB and
MB, you can tackle LIs by making a "killing field" of corpses for DS
to pop (i.e., killing non-LI monsters without using DS), then leading
LI monsters to them and laying down some DSs. The thing to keep in
mind is that you have to be able to overcome a monster's regen long
enough to kill it. It sucks to get a tough LI down to a sliver, run
out of corpses, and then not be able to kill it and watch it regen.

Don't forget that the corpses also work out for those whom like Nilly like
to pop them against you.. Get rid of those corpses before they get you. ;-)
Oh yeah, it's definately possible since i had one 2 ladders that got to
level 79 before dying. Lag got her with those blasted snakes doing a nilly
run. :(
