Terrible lag on East server

Anyone else here who plays on the East server had terrible lag the
last 2-3 weeks? It's gotten so bad that it's basically unplayable for
me -- I've gone back to playing Single Player.

My other connections (email, web,etc.) seem fine, so I have to assume
it's Battle Net.

I play on East and there is no lag.

Dunno about east, but on west, the lag has been idiotic the last week or
so - Haven't been able to get past the third level of the tower cellar
doing NM Countess runs before the lag is so bad I either die to some
stupidly low-level monster, YHCBI, or just plain give up in disgust.

And to add insult to injury, two days ago while trying to move 'em to a
mule, I dropped 3 sols, 2 shaels, a dol, a thul, and about 8 more
assorted "not worth bothering to name" low-level runes, along with at
least a dozen gems a little ways outside of town, then lag-locked until
I got a YCHBI. Got back in, and couldn't leave town, YCHBI-ed again,
reconnected, managed to get out of town, but slammed into "the edge of
the world" before reaching the goodies, and YCHBI-ed again - lather,
rinse, repeat about 6-8 times, until FINALLY I was able to get to where
I dropped them - Only to find there was nothing left except a chipped
ruby and an eld rune out of everything I'd dropped. Can you say "pissed
off"? Sure... I knew you could!

Same as Europe lately (while all the dupers are busy making runewords for
their shops, I guess).

Yeah, west lag has been bad, especially affecting my merc. Moonwalking one
moment, then he "teleports" somewhere else.

Annoying as hell.

I've had lag, but nothing out of the ordinary. Played a couple hours
last night and it was actually pretty smooth.
