For HARDCORE, what character do you feel makes the best magic finder?

Well, since it is ONLY an opinion, I would like to cast my vote for the
Trappasin.

SkellNecro or Trapper because they are good killer without amazing stuff. In
HC I would give an edge to the Necro because he is the safest to play even
by using equipment bought at the store. Now if you have very good item I
imagine other character would do better to reach the main boss faster unless
you have Enigma.

It'd be either Necro-Summoner or Trappersin.. Best for Mfing in HC. I done
well with a Necro-Summoner 2 ladders ago. ;-)

I would go with the bowazon, simply because of the range factor. Also,
there's very little she has trouble with in Hell if you spec her
appropriately and have a couple nice pieces of items and charms.

She can't kill fast enough to be a worthwhile MFer.

A magic finder is generally considered to start with self-found gear.

This I dont agree with. Properly geared out, they kill fine in 1
player games which is where most people will MF.

This is where the real problem comes in. Without a few pieces of gear
they really are slow killers.
All said, I agree with the general consensus of Summoner or Trapper.

I have no experience with trappers, and agree that summoners make
excellent MFers.
However, to get the most bang for my MF buck, I would never seriously
MF on any character besides a Barbarian. I had a Concentrate Barb I
took from level 1 to 93 solo with zero deaths using only what he
found.
He didn't kill fast, but the extra life he got from BO certainly made
him durable. Put dual Ali Babas on weapon switch and Find Item on
absolutely everything. I once Horked a Stormshield from just a regular
monster, and a Windforce from another.
The extra gold you get from the Ali Babas will also fuel a gambling
habit for a very long time.

This is a good point. If you want to MF primarily in games where
other players are killing the monsters, a hork barb works very well.
Good partners are sorcs, hammerdins and furyzons, as they kill fast
but don't use up bodies.
