Another "better choice" query about that sorc with the Um

Correction to resists - I didn't realize I was reading them from where
she was standing in a normal mule-parking game, not her NM game. Oops.
My bad.
Correct versions here, taken while standing in NM Harrogath:
FR: -25
CR: 4
LR: 41
PR: 8

And when NM Diablo dropped this morning after only one death to her (Got
hit-locked when he charged then spewed the pink death directly on her
while she was stuck from the charge hitting - Instant splat...) and two
merc-reincarnates, along came a green cuirass -

Turned out to be a "Haemosu's Adamant" - a toy from the "Heaven's
Brethren" set that I've never personally seen before.
Stats say:
Def 700
+500 Def
+40 vs melee
+35 vs missile
+75 life
-20% Requirements

Versus her current armor -
Stealth in a "plain" field plate for a 103 def, plus the Stealth mods -
+25% FR/W
+25% FCR
+25% FHR
+6 dex
mana regen 15%
+15 max stam
+30% poison resist
-3 magic damage

I can't decide what to do - LOTS of handy bonus on the stealth -
particularly the FCR and mana regen - at the expense of a cheesy def,
versus 7x the def, with 35 more against missiles... Is the swap worth it
or not? I never intentionally melee this gal, but ranged attackers can
be beastly, and having an effective 735 def against their missiles (plus
the rest of my gear) versus 103 now... But losing the +25FCR...

AUGH! I'm torn...

This is actually a very easy decision. Other than the +75 to life, Haemosus
Adamant has nothing else going for it. I'm surprised this is the first time
you've seen it. The Adamant is the equivalent of Isenharts case to me.
Every game I play, it drops.

Stick to Stealth. With any luck and/or if you trade, look for a Skin of
the Vipermagi. The low resists variety can be had for a few handfuls of
pgems.

So at least for you, the bonuses make up for the comparatively lousy def
on the stealth?

Keep in mind that this gal is built to be able to equip a Spirit Monarch
with leftover points - from buck-naked and empty pack - so unless it
requires above 160 strength, armor load isn't all that critical. :)

I trade, but it's real spotty - partly because I'm clueless about
comparative values between items.

Don't be. Haemosu's armor is total garbage; if you're lucky you can find
someone who might shell over a few pgems for it, but I usually sell it
right away.

Stealth is much, MUCH better.

She needs more FR, bad. In Hell, a Fallen Shaman could one-hit her.

Put the Adamant on her merc until something better comnes along.
Stealth in quilted armor is better for a sorc than the Adamant. Some
of my ironmen wore Stealth right through NM.
