Haha, I just read something about the IK set:
"There are two problems associated with the daunting task
of completing the Immortal King set. First and foremost is
the fact that it consists of 6 items, roughly equivalent to
1/2 of your total stash storage space, and the other thing
being the rarity of the Soul Cage. A Sacred Armor is about
as common as Blizzard's anti-duping efforts, which
translates to an insanely low drop probability, and thus an
astronomical price."
So being Single Player, after, I don't know, ten years of
playing or so, I just found my second piece of this set
TWICE! The Soul Cage! In ONE game!!!
I should have bought a lottery ticket instead, the jackpot
for this month was 25,000,000 euros! .... damn....
(...few seconds of silence and self-reflection...)
So having found the most improbable², I know now that
it would be theoreticly possible to find the remaining
parts of this set in less than 10 years! LOL!
So, no diablo3 for me soon, I *HAVE* to complete this
set first! :)
Hehe, had to tell about me findings, this doesn't happen
very often! :)
Cheers!

Stop the suffering. There are character editors available for sp.

Great drops. So give us some details, who dropped em and where, and was
there any drama involved? (You know, I died 5 times killing it, or didn't
die but ended up with 3 life left, etc)
One thing about this game, it can make for some great story telling.

Congratulations! Now let's hope your barb is a Mace barb... It's
always ironic to specialize in Swords or Axes only to end up with a
end-game Mace class weapon! Yeah, that's happened to me before. Once.

Very good score/s! The next hardest part of that set to find is the hat.
Most of the rest is fairly easy, relatively speaking.
This game is funny. I remember things like hardly finding any high runes,
then finding two GULs in the same game, half an hour apart, in different
acts. Similarly with MALs in a nightmare game except that they were both on
WSK3 and were only 2 minitues apart. One game I remember getting SIX
Isenhart's cases! <g>
I think the alogrithm that generates drops has a few glitches. Therefore if
you get item x drop in a game the odds of the same item dropping again
increase exponentially. Many's the time I've had certain items that are
usually uncommon droping over and over, such as scourges, in all colours.
I hear that truly random drop generators (or number generators) are very
hard to code and this game *is* many years old...

In the computer world there is no such thing as "random". Everything is
calculated from somewhere. "Randomness" on a computer is normally
calculated by running the value from a high-resolution timer through an
algorithm. This algorithm is normally part of the base language and not a
function written by games devs/programmers, etc. Random-number generators
therefore will always generate the same numbers unless specifically seeded
with a "random" number first (normally the time, again).

That's truly incredible. Can you remember where they dropped, and by what
monsters? I have found white and socketed sacred armour, but never any other
colour. I have the rest of IK set several times over (four mauls, three
hats, dozens of the belt/boots/gloves).

Yeah. Two IK armours must be about the same probability as a lottery
jackpot.
Well done,
