Interesting how old these threads are, and how in each one Tyrael is
meant to bear the consequences of his destruction of the world stone.
How many of these ideas will be found implemented in the final game?

Well from what I've read of the backstory the destruction of the
Worldstone reveals Sanctuary to the other powers of Heaven - who may not
be as benevolent towards mortals as Tyrael when it comes to the war with
the powers of Hell.
So we may even see a situation where players are essentially caught in
the crossfire between angels and demons and having to fight BOTH.
Wouldn't that rock? <g>
