Couple of months ago it just came over me.

I even went and google group searched in 2002-2003, just to read our old
threads. What a blast.

The standard PvM melee pally build is the zealot. The cookie cutter is max
zeal, fana, sacrifice, and holy shield, 1 point in charge and vigor and all
pre-reqs. One point in vengeance is usually used for PIs, other pallies go
ahead and get conviction and switch to a high ele damage weapon to kill PIs.
Variations abound, especially the shock zealot/tesladin and the freezealot,
which max holy shock/freeze, res lightning/cold, salvation, and usually zeal
for AR, with a few in holy shield and 1 in the utility skills and pre-reqs.
Likewise, some zealots max holy shock by itself for use vs PIs, and in turn
put fewer points in zeal and/or holy shield. There's also the auradin, but
those require pretty specialized, expensive gear and aren't recommended
unless you KNOW you'll be able to afford dual Dreams or Dragons.

Stats wise, basically ALL builds follow the same formula. Enough str for
gear, enough dex for gear OR max block(most pallies go with max block, many
casters do not), rest in vita.
