Do I remember correctly that Larzuk's reward will put exactly one more
socket onto an item that already has sockets, so long as the item
currently has fewer sockets than whatever the max for that item happens
to be?

Or am I mixing something up (perhaps that a *MAGIC* item with no sockets
will get always get exactly one socket from the quest?)

I just picked up a rather nice three-hole, superior eth voulge that I
want to build Insight in for my sorc's merc when I get the runes
together, but since Insight is a four-hole runeword, and I've only got
three in this one, the current plan is to hold onto it until I can get
Larz to punch another hole in it - If that can be done at all. If it
can't, it's off to Charsi with it, 'cause it just plain takes up too
much space!

(I'm looking *SPECIFICALLY* for the mana-regeneration that Insight gives)

No, in no way, shape, or form can you add sockets to an already socketed
item by ANY means.

No, magic items randomly get 1-2 sockets. Rares and uniques always get
exactly 1 socket.

Sell it, there's no way whatsoever to add another socket.

Drat... Another fine plan ruined by "the facts"...

(Who are these twits that keep coming up with all these damn facts,
anyway? Let's round 'em up and put 'em up against the wall! :) )
