Man, I made a Crescent Moon in a phase blade, and those charges of spirit
wolf cost over 386,000 EACH! They don't last 5 minutes, either. Whew! Not
using that *bonus* again.

While I'll admit that anyone can make a mistake once, to go on making
the same lethal errors century after century seems to me nothing short
of deliberate.--V.

What level is the spirit wolf? Can't you repair the charges in the cube?

Hey Jake!

Crescent Moon gets 30 charges of lvl 18 spirit wolf. I've made a couple
before, but never got around to trying the charges of cannon fodder--I
really don't think they're much use. I guess it'll be the cube if I ever
use the puppies.

Did you use a Superior phase blade, by any chance? For some reason I've
never understood, that ups the repair costs of runewords by about 10-100x.
If you make one in a normal (non-superior) phase blade, you should see a
huge difference in repair costs.

Yes, the cube repair recipe does charges too, but I've never tried it with
phase blades (or with ethereal charged items, for that matter).

Making any runeword in any superior item drastically ups repair prices.

It will work fine with phase blades, doesn't worth with eth items.
