Anyone tested with a charge/foh hybrid before? I've seen charge/hammer
Liberator builds, smite/foh builds, FoH/Hammer builds, but I've never
actually seen a charge/foh'er. This is what I'm gonna make next I think.

At lvl 90 I have 101 skill points to spend, so my skill points layout will
be:
20 FoH
20 Charge
20 Fana
14 holy shock
8 Conviction
1 Vigor
1 holy shield
17 in pre-reqs

If I level him past 90(91-92 is standard for me), remaining points will go
into conviction.

Planned gear will be
Shako(ber'd, probably)
Fortitude Archon Plate
Weapon 1:eBotD zerker(399 ed)/Sacred Rondache Phoenix(383 ed/45 res all)
Weapon 2:CtA/Spirit
Gore Riders
Highlords
Ravenfrost/BK Ring
Arachnids
Gloves:Steelrends or Dracs(not sure which yet, I like the ed and CB on
Rends, but the str reqs are steep)
Charms:Anni(15/18/10), PTorch(19/13), 6 pcombs, rest max/life and res/life
scs.

With that gear, charge will add 1015 ED, then 300 more from fort, 383 from
Phoenix plus 543 from Fana, plus possibly 60 more from rends AND I'll have
45% deadly strike plus self-chant from Demon Limb in stash. And I'll also
have a 3.2-3.3k FoH with -115 res conviction on my main weapon switch. If I
FoH with my CtA switch, as I'll likely do...I'll have -130 res and nearly
3.7k foh. Ideally I'd LOVE to get a +3 FoH/+3 Conviction CtA scepter
now...that'd make it -145 res/4k foh, but those don't grow on trees so I'll
most likely have to settle for a regular CtA. And for regular PvM play, I'll
still have lvl 17 zeal(with 1 base point in it) to give me 4 fpa very hard
hitting weapon. Even physical immunes won't be a problem, as I have 3
different ways I can deal with them-just FoH em if only one there, or zeal
with holy shock active(it should add around 1200 lightning damage with my
setup), or make use of Vengeance/Conviction.

Yes, yes, I think I like this...don't even have to do MUCH work to assemble
the gear for him. Charms will be a hassle to get, but the runewords and
basic gear I've all pretty much already got. I still have to find an extra
BK(I have one somewhere, just gotta find it) and a 20 dex ravenfrost, but
those won't be a problem, so really, only the charms(and the FoH/Conviction
CTA if I go that route) will difficult. I don't have any Steelrends either,
but honestly, I'll likely stick with Dracs anyway(I have a 15 str/10 ll pair
already, and I just dont really wanna spend an extra bunch of stats and take
the time to trade for 60 more ED)

My ladder dueler was a charge/smiter. He was mostly unkillable :)

Yeah, I've got one of those. Only things that really give him problem are
good(or cheating) hdins and wind druids

Sounds good to me. You've prob already thought this through but isn't
charge a mana suck? How to deal with packs? Zeal?

After BO he has around 600 mana, which is usually enough to catch most
people. Those it can't I can just FoH.

Yeah. Even with just the base 1 point I have in zeal I get 8k zeal with 92%
deadly strike and 65% crushing blow(I switched from eBotDz to eDeathz,
slower zeal but better for 1 hit charge KOs).

As an update, the char is now level 90. I did decide on Dracs over Rends(tap
is just too nice to pass up, plus I do like the Open Wounds). Between my own
leech(Dracs+BK, mana leech on EDeath), Tap, and Redemption, neither life nor
mana recovery is a problem in PvM play, pots are almost never needed. And
while I didn't get a 3 FoH/3 Conviction scepter for my CtA, I DID manage to
get a 3 FoH/2 Conviction scepter for it which is close enough(rolled a 4/5/4
for the CtA itself, which was pretty nice). With my melee setup, I have a 5
frame zeal of 2.7-8k and a charge of 4-13k, with 93% chance of deadly
strike(which is very nice, I've 1 hit KO'ed people with 3k life in duels
before with my charge), 65% crushing blow, and 40% open wounds(plus a chance
to cast Glac Spike which can help with mob control). I also keep a Demon
Limb in stash to give some extra AR and a little more damage. For areas or
duels where I don't want to melee, putting on weapon set 2 gives me a 4k FoH
with -140 res conviction, which is enough to do sizable damage(even to PIs)
as well as provide a strong punch in duels. I know doom knights and okies
will fall to around 3 FoHs in a full game, for example, so I can target them
easily, one of the few PvM areas where FoH really shines. He has around 3.4k
life, 18% damage reduction, 13k defense, max block on both weapon sets, and
res of 85/75/85/75 on his melee setup, 75/75/80/75 on his FoH setup. When
dueling against lightning users I can swap his belt out for TGods to boost
my light res to 95, and I soon plan to have Hotspurs in my stash so I can
get 95 fire res if needed too. Against barbs or other strong meleers, I can
put Verdunos on for extra life and 15 more DR. Now Jaime won't duel this guy
at all except with her hdin, and I can kill him as well;-)

Chage is one NASTY dueling skill. As I said, Diego was a Charge/
Smiter, with Zeal as a back-up. He often one hit people.

Yep, charge is often a 1 hit KO. I killed Jaime's hdin with a single charge,
and I know he has 3.5k+ life so it's a hard hitter. Earlier today even I
kept 1 hitting some assassin EVERY TIME, and he was like "I haven't spent my
stats yet, let me get a character who has". So he comes back with an
auradin, and...still goes down in 1 hit.

I've also added more swap gear to my stash, for duels vs hdins, strong WW
barbs, or other chars I really don't wanna get close to and don't plan on
charging at all, I've got a "pure" FoH setup in stash. Swap out my normal
Fort for Enigma, Ravenfrost for BK ring, Ber'd Shako for Facet'ed shako,
Highlords for Maras, and my CtA scepter for a +3 foh/+3 conv scepter with 5x
5/5 facets. Pushes my conviction up to max -res, and raises my FoH to just
under 6k. Makes a nasty surprise for hdins and blizz sorcs who like to camp
in their hammerfields or blizzards and expect me to come to them.
