When you repair an armor (or weapon) using the El/Eld + chippie recipe,
the ilvl (item-level) of the armor (weapon) is reset to 1. This limits the
number of sockets Larzuk punches in, since in regular
(white/grey-ethereal) he always punches the maximum number of possible
sockets in, where limited by the ilvl of the item being socketed. This is
a bit more complex than 'one lower than regular', see the link I give
below.

No, despite urban legend, or what recently some 'noob' in a trade-game
said to me, all Larzuk socket quests in all difficulties are exactly the
same, independent of the clvl of the character using that socket quest.
