Key binding problem

Peter James - 16 Jan 2008 11:06 GMT My Necro at the moment is running Hell. I was not satisfied with the key bindings to skills, so I tidied them up. I use the keys, q,w,e,r,a,s,d,f,z,x,c,v and 5.6.7.8. I tied various skills to these keys, and up till yesterday when I sorted them out, they worked well. I wanted to put Amp Damage on the left mouse key and CE on the right key. Clicking on the left hand skills icon will only bring up Teeth, Bonespear, Normal attack and Throw. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here. I'm using a Mac, should that make any difference. Thanks.

There are skills available for the left mouse button and there are skill available for the right mouse button. The curses and summon skills and CE are all for the right mouse button. Your only choice is to choose the skills with the hotkey and use right mouse button ( or the Mac-equivalent of it). The left mouse button can be used for some poison and bone skills. Best is to assign bone teeth to the left mouse button, just in case you click accidentially on a monster. You will cast some useless teeth instead of walking to the monster and whack it. This can save your life. Teeth is a prerequisite for CE and won't cost you a skill point (assuming you have no useful skill for the left mouse button.

I could be wrong but I thought that *all* skills were attributable to the right mouse button? At least I know that I've assigned Frenzy to the right before. (Really fun way to play a frenzy barb, just right-click on the ground and hold it down and steer him towards monsters.)
Cheers,
 Signature Shaun.

Now, some seconds later I think that under some certain circumstances you have a skill "attack with left hand" and "attack with right hand".
Now that I'm totally confused I can't remember to which game these two skills belong. I don't think that it's LOD, but can you check that with your frenzy barb, just to make sure? I'm at work, so no game at hand.

Yeah, I just fired up my frenzy barb and it works just fine with a different attack on each mouse button. (I used frenzy on left, berserk on right).
Cheers,
 Signature Shaun.

Perhaps we have our left and right mixed up? I thought only attack on left, all on right. Could be wrong though, I've been wrong once before. <g>
Cheers,

This is a result of the fact that although I was born left-handed, it was in a part of the world where this was not acceptable, so they forced me to be right-handed, and now, I am no-handed.... you should see my golf bag, it confuses everyone.
