Three Hell HellForge in a row: 2 Lums and a Lem

On a plus note, I was able to trade each Lums for Ko. So to trade up and
make my Harmony bow
is not really a bad day.

No, it's just at matter of statistics!
If you try eleven times in Hell you'll get a Gul - statistically speaking.

That's my experience.
Just keep up the good work!

Well look at it in a positive way. At least you didn't get an El. ;-) I've
gotten a Thul from a Hell Helforge before. Lum and Lem are handy runes to
have. I am not sure on USW what they're worth atm since i've not played
there really this ladder but i do know that on USE i've seen plenty of games
in the HCL side where they've been sought for.  Lem and Lum are in some nice
runewords.  Lem is in runewords such as Faith, Treachery and Delirium and
Lum being in runewords such as Stone, Memory, Smoke and Splendor. They seem
to be bad runes to many but i say "Every rune is a good rune." You might
have had a bad run with the forges but i have found that your best rune
chances lie with Countess. Oh and Harmony is a good bow to have for a Rogue
merc. ;-) Keep up the good work though. ;-)

While a nice anecdote, that's impossible. Unless you're talking about an
old version of Diablo II. Currently, the range of the runes that can drop
from the Hellforges is:

Normal: El - Amn
Nightmare: Sol - Um
Hell: Hel - Gul

Where Hel isn't even too bad, since the rune one up, io, is a lot less
useful than Hel.

Regards,

Patrick.

Thanks for words of wisdom! I will soldier on. It just that I keep hearing
how people get Um's, Gul's, Pul's
And I keep wondering how am I going to be able to make these nice runewords.
My Enchantress is using the Harmony bow because of the enchanted  level 6
Valk.
I've used my Lem and Ko for Lawbringer, so life not all that bad.

It's just I wish just once......
