Alloha,

Having just found a semi-perfect (-20% ELR, +12% LSD) Griffon's Eye, I'm
curious as to whether or not this -% ELR modifier is capped or not?

It is possible to stack this at incredibly high rates and cut through
enemies like a hot knife through butter using lightning? :D

Cheers,
Vince.

-100 is the cap, but without conviction or lower resist, you can't break
immunities.

It will stack, but for LI's it will only work at 1/5 effectiveness. So if you
have a total of -100% ELR, it will only take off 20% of LI monsters. So monsters
with more than 120% LR will still be LI to you. The good news is that very few
LI monsters have more than 105-110% LR, so you can cut trough most of them if
you get a decent ELR.

Hmm, you're giving correct info, but in the wrong context. The 1/5th
effectiveness is only valid for skills which can _BREAK_ immunities.
That's limited to the Paladin Conviction aura, and the Necro curse 'Lower
Resists'. Straight minus-enemy-LI-resistance cannot do this.

So, even if you had stacked -1000% enemy LI resist, this on it's own won't
break an LI immune monster. However, once you've broken the immunity (with
Conviction and/or Lower Resists, they stack), the -1000% is applied, in
full, no 1/5 involved.

Hope this clears things up....

Regards,

Patrick.

Yes, see:

http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/runewords-110.shtml

specifically, the runeword Infinity.

I suggest you browse around a bit on this site, and read some stuff; it
contains a lot of very valuable info concering Diablo II. Top level link
to it:
