I'm running Nightmare SP with a necro level 43 and I've managed to equip a 3 socket shield with a set of Ral Ort and Tal runes. I've got another set going spare. Should I try to find a 3 socket wand for these? Or would something else be a better bet. All wands are 1x2 boxes in size, so it's going to be a bit hard to find one with 3 sockets. ;) Ral + Ort + Tal is the runeword Ancient's Pledge, and it only works in Shields.. The Arreat Summit gave me the impression that they also worked in weapons. I'll hold on to them in the hope that a better 3 socketed shield turns up. >Thank you that answers my question. Make sure of the item type before you waste valuable runes (doesn't include Ral, Ort or Tal ;^) >The Arreat Summit gave me the impression that they >also worked in weapons. I'll hold on to them in the hope that a better >3 socketed shield turns up. You will likely want to use a necro head with +skills as a shield, at least until you get to Hell difficulty. If you can find one with good +skills, resistances and two sockets for pdiamonds, it will likely be better than a shield. If you find a good one with no sockets, you can get Larzuk to punch one hole in it (or two if its identifier is grey or white) for pdiamond. -- Roy L |
